The terms of using Cleanly.
Effective 21 September 2026
Cleanly is software for house-cleaning businesses. A business uses it to plan houses, schedule visits, guide its cleaners, report to its clients and invoice them. These terms set out what Cleanly is and is not, and what you and we each agree to. The privacy policy is part of them.
This agreement
These terms are between you and Quobo Labs, LLC (“we”). By using Cleanly you accept them. If you use Cleanly on behalf of a business, you accept them for that business and confirm that you may.
What Cleanly is
Cleanly is a tool. The cleaning business that uses it (“the business”) is the one that cleans. We don’t employ or supply cleaners, and we don’t visit houses or hold keys. We don’t perform, supervise or guarantee any cleaning.
There are three kinds of account. An owner runs a business. A cleaner works for one. A household is a client of one.
The business and its clients
A cleaning agreement that a household accepts in Cleanly is a contract between that household and the business. We are not a party to it. Cleanly records what was agreed and when, and it keeps the agreed version fixed, but the promise is the business’s.
- The business is responsible for the work and its quality, its prices, its staff, its insurance, the keys and access codes it holds, and anything that happens in a client’s home.
- The household is responsible for giving the business accurate information and the access it agreed to.
- Schedule changes, cancellations, refunds and complaints about the cleaning are for the business and the household to settle between them. The business’s contact details are printed on its invoices when it has added them.
The business must have a household’s permission to photograph their home, to keep their access notes in Cleanly and to invite them. It is also responsible for telling them how it uses Cleanly.
Payments
- When a business switches on card payments, households pay its invoices by card on Stripe’s own payment page. A household that puts a card on file agrees that the card may be charged once for each invoice the business issues after a visit. If that charge fails, the invoice stays open for the household to pay by hand.
- Card payments are processed by Stripe and are subject to Stripe’s own terms. We never see or keep card numbers.
- The amount on an invoice is set by the business, from the agreement and the work recorded on the visit. Questions about a charge go to the business first.
- A business may also record a payment made another way, such as cash or a cheque, and the invoice is then settled in Cleanly.
- Cleanly is free for cleaning businesses at launch; any future fees will be agreed in writing, outside the app.
Accounts
- Accounts are made by invitation. You must be at least 18 to hold one.
- Keep your password to yourself. What happens under your account is your responsibility unless you tell us it has been misused.
- An owner decides who is invited into the business, and must remove anyone who should no longer have access.
- You can delete your account yourself at any time, from Settings. The privacy policy says what that removes and what stays on the business’s records.
What you put in
Plans, photographs, notes and reports stay yours, or the business’s. You give us permission to store, process and show them only as far as we need to in order to run Cleanly for you and for the people you share them with inside your business. We claim nothing else.
Using Cleanly properly
You agree not to:
- photograph people. Photos in Cleanly are of rooms and surfaces;
- use access notes, photographs or anything else you see in Cleanly for any purpose but the cleaning they were given for;
- try to reach another business’s information, or anything your role does not allow;
- probe, disrupt or overload the service, or get round its security;
- put anything unlawful into it.
We may suspend an account that breaks these rules. Where we can, we tell the business first.
The service
We work to keep Cleanly available and correct, and we change it as it improves. We will give owners notice in the app before a change that takes away something they rely on. Cleanly is provided as it is, and we cannot promise it will never be interrupted or never contain an error. Keep your own records of anything you cannot afford to lose.
Ending
You can stop using Cleanly and delete your account whenever you like. When a business’s last owner deletes their account, the business closes and everyone in it loses access. The privacy policy says what happens to its information then, and how to have it deleted. We may end the service to a business that breaks these terms, after notice where the breach can be put right.
Liability
We are not liable for the cleaning itself or for anything that happens in a home. That is between the business and its household. As far as the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, or for lost profit, revenue or data. Our total liability to a business for anything arising from Cleanly is limited to what that business paid us for Cleanly in the twelve months before the claim. Nothing in these terms limits liability that the law does not allow to be limited.
Law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Louisiana, United States, without regard to its conflict-of-law rules.
If we change these terms, the date at the top changes, and we tell owners in the app before a change that matters takes effect.
